The European Meeting on Chemical Industry and Environment EMChIE VI brings together engineers, managers, scientists from industry, universities and relevant administration officials to inform and discuss new developments and the latest innovative ideas in this field.
The first European Meeting on Chemical Industry and Environment EMChIE I was organized by its founder Prof. Casal in Girona, Spain, 1993, followed by EMChIE II in Alghero, Italy, 1996, EMChIE III in Kracow, Poland, 1999, EMChIE IV, Las Palmas, Spain, 2003 and EMChIE V, Vienna, Austria, 2006.
We are honoured to organise EMChIE VI at the Lamot Congress and Heritage Centre in Mechelen, Belgium.

“Greening the economy” is not just a hype. It asks for a fundamental rethinking of our consumption and production pattern.. Therefore this large international conference aimed at innovative sustainable production methods tries to intertwine different disciplines and methodologies.
i-SUP2010 will cover 6 separate international congresses at the same time and the same location, covering wide fields as: Sustainable Production, Sustainable Chemistry, Sustainable Energy, Materials for Sustainable Production, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and In Vitro Methods replacing Animal Testing.
Each theme holds the contents of a full-fledged congress with key-note speakers, abstracts, presentations, appropriate poster sessions and a distinct location, Oud Sint-Jan in Bruges.
